Terms of Use
Version of 1 January 2026
1. Description of the Service
Finaim is an educational investment platform (the “Service”, the “Platform”) provided by OOO “Finaim” (the “Company”, “we”). The Service is intended solely for educational, informational and analytical purposes.
Finaim offers the following capabilities:
- Optimisation of a securities portfolio using the Markowitz algorithm.
- Analysis of publicly traded companies across five axes (the Snowflake method).
- Scoring of private companies with machine learning (CatBoost + SHAP).
- Assessment of an investor's risk profile with asset-allocation guidance.
- A social graph: browsing other users' public portfolios, follows and comments.
2. Limitation of liability. Not investment advice
Finaim is not a broker, an investment adviser, an asset management company or any other professional participant in the securities market. All information, calculations and analytics are provided solely for educational and reference purposes and do not constitute individual investment advice.
Before making any investment decision we recommend that you consult a licensed financial adviser. The Company is not liable for losses arising from the use of materials published on the Platform.
For more on investment risks, see the Investment Risk Disclosure.
3. Registration and account
Registration is required to access the extended features of the Service (saving portfolios, taking part in the community). By registering you undertake to:
- Provide a correct and current email address.
- Not create more than one account in order to circumvent the limits of the Service.
- Keep your access credentials confidential and notify the Company immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
The Company may suspend or delete an account if these Terms are breached or if fraudulent activity is suspected, notifying the user by email where possible.
Users must be at least 18 years old, or of the age at which they may independently enter into contracts under the law of their country of residence.
4. User content
By publishing portfolios, comments or other materials (“user content”) in public, you retain all intellectual property rights in them and at the same time grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and distribute that content within the Service and in promoting it.
By publishing user content you confirm that:
- You hold the rights necessary to publish it.
- The content does not infringe the rights of third parties and does not contravene the law.
- The content is not individual investment advice, nor a solicitation to buy or sell securities.
Portfolios marked as “private” are visible only to their owner and do not appear in the community feed.
5. Prohibited conduct
When using the Service, you must not:
- Breach applicable law, including securities and anti-fraud legislation.
- Post false, misleading or manipulative information about investments.
- Carry out automated parsing, scraping or bulk extraction of data without the Company's written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform's systems.
- Publish malicious code, spam or material that infringes the rights of third parties.
- Impersonate another user or a representative of the Company.
- Disrupt the operation of the Service through excessive or malicious requests.
6. The Company's intellectual property
All elements of the Service — source code, design, logos, algorithms, databases — are the exclusive property of OOO “Finaim” or are licensed to the Company. Reproducing, distributing or creating derivative products from the materials of the Service without the Company's written permission is prohibited.
7. Modification and discontinuation of the Service
The Company may at any time modify, suspend or discontinue the Service or any of its features — in whole or in part — notifying users where practicable. The Company is not liable for the consequences of such changes.
8. Changes to these Terms
The Company may amend these Terms. A new version is published on the Platform and takes effect from the date of publication. Continuing to use the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new version of the Terms.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the court at the Company's location, unless mandatory rules of applicable law provide otherwise.
